Visit a Red Lobster Location Near You for a Fun and Delicious Seafood Meal

We have always enjoyed Red Lobster for good service and delicious food. We've dined at Red Lobster locations in Rohnert Park, Vallejo and San Bruno, California and we've never been disappointed.

Our latest visit was no exception. After a full day of fun at Six Flags Marineworld, we decided on a good meal at the Vallejo Red Lobster location.

The restaurant was busy and we had a short wait, even though it was a bit late in the evening. The live lobsters in the tank in the lobby entertained the boys for a good ten minutes. They even got to touch a lobster that was chosen for someone's dinner.

A hostess soon led us to our roomy booth. A large wooden snapper hung on the wall. Nancy, our waitress appeared with a basket of fresh, hot, cheddar biscuits. After she left with our drink order we settled in to enjoy the biscuits (our favorite) and study the menu.

Esbon chose the Stuffed Sole. Bo ordered Popcorn Shrimp and Fries and Jonathan went with his old standby, Chicken Fingers and Fries. The kid's meal includes some nice extras so Bo ordered Apple Sauce and Jonathan chose Carrot Sticks with Ranch dressing. I decided to have the Broiled Seafood Platter, but with extra scallops and no Sole. I love scallops and I've always wished there were more scallop dishes on the menu.

Nancy returned with our salads and plenty of friendly conversation. The salads were fresh and tasty with just the right amount of dressing. Bo even tried carrot sticks with Ranch dressing and liked them. (He usually only eats carrots cooked.)

Our entrees arrived just at the right time. Nancy politely checked to be sure we had everything we wanted before leaving us to enjoy our meal.

I dove right into the scallops. They were pretty small, but still tasty. The Shrimp Scampi was also delicious. Esbon enjoyed his Stuffed Sole and Bo his Shrimp. Jonathan started in on his fries and, as usual, had to be reminded to eat his Chicken too.

The meal was delicious and very filling. When it was time to go, we had a little of almost everything in our take out box. Nancy brought the check and made no complaint about processing our three gift cards to pay for dinner.

Red Lobster provided us with yet another delicious seafood dinner. Nancy made us feel at home with her easy, motherly manner and friendly conversation. She said she's been there for twenty years, so I'd say she really knows her stuff.

Each Red Lobster location boasts similar decor and furnishings. The decor is nautical and fishy, of course. Our kids enjoy looking at the live lobsters in the tank in the lobby and the painted and carved fish around the restaurant. We like the comfortable and roomy booths.

The menu offers plenty of choices for both seafood lovers and those who prefer a less fishy meal. Each Red Lobster location also features limited time specials and new dishes that are not to be missed. I'm looking forward to trying the new Seared Sea Scallops on our next visit.

Red Lobster has a fun website where you'll find menus, locations, recipes and more. Order fresh seafood to cook at home or join the Overboard Club to get special offers and discounts.
