An Affordable Monterey Hotel - Clarion Hotel MontereyThe Clarion Hotel Monterey is a family friendly Monterey hotel located at 1046 Munras Avenue. It is walking distance to Old Fisherman's Wharf and just a few minutes from the Monterey Aquarium, Cannery Row and other fun Monterey attractions. We have stayed there several times and always enjoy returning there when we visit the area. Besides being very affordable and in a convenient location, the Clarion has many features that appeal to families. There is the free continental breakfast, complete with fresh waffles, fruit, cereal, bagels and more. There is a heated, indoor pool which makes it perfect anytime of year, especially if you have active youngsters who need a place to work off some energy. There is a hot tub as well - the perfect place to relax after a long day of driving or seeing the sights. You can choose a standard room with two queen beds or get a suite (the most affordable I've seen) with a room for you and a room for the kids. The suite we stayed in had tvs in both rooms so the kids could watch their shows and we could watch ours. There are even vcrs in the rooms so you can bring a favorite movie for the kids. All the rooms at the Clarion Hotel Monterey are spacious with plenty of room for the family. Refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers are standard features as well as hair dryers, ironing boards, irons and more. Finally, you can get both standard rooms and suites that have fireplaces. We have really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere created by the fireplaces. If you're in a suite, you can even enjoy a little romance after the kids go to bed! The staff has always been very helpful and courteous. They can give you dining recommendations, driving directions or most any other information you might need. We highly recommend the Clarion Hotel Monterey as a comfortable, affordable and fun hotel for any family vacation to Monterey.
